After a slow start, Afcon 2013 has finally got going! pre tournament favourites Ivory Coast were the first time to book their place in the next round after an emphatic 3-0 win over Tunisia on Saturday.

Tuninisa fought hard to get back into the game and held out until late in the game when Man city's Yaya Toure added a second 3 minutes from time. Late sub Konan came on to make it 3 in the 90th minute.
Tunisia 's progress to the next round will be decided in the next game afterTogo beat Algeria 2-0 in their game on Saturday. Tottenam striker Adebayor scored the opener just before the break. Algeria camped inside Togo's half for most of the second half but failed to hit the back of the net.
Togo 's Wome took advantage of Algeria pushing all their players forward in search of an equaliser to score a late goal on the counter attack. Algeria then became the first time to be knocked out of the tournament. Tunisia and Togo each have a chance of going through with Ivory Coast depending on what happens in their final group game.
Hosts South Africa and Cape Verde joined Ivory Coast in the next round, after their games on Sunday. South Africa worked hard to hold Morrocco to a 2- all draw, while Cape Verde beat Angola 2-1. Angola are leaving the tournament bottom of the group with a solitary point while Morocco also bow out.
