Zinedine Zidane headbutt imortalised

Zinedine Zidane would probably not want to be reminded of the infamous headbutt that ruined his swan song back in  the 2006 world cup final. However other people have their own ideas about that it seems!

Adel Abdessemed an Algerian born artist decided to  immortalise the moment with a bronze statue. The bronze statue of the moment when Zidane headbutted Former Italian defender Marco Matterazzi is being displayed outside the Pompidou Art Museum in Paris.

Zidane who received a red card for the offence on his last game for France said he headbutted the Italian after he made derogatory remarks about his sister. The incident preoccupied the footballing world for months with lip readers getting called in to analyse what the Italian had said!
